Mike Pfister

Chief Information Officer

Mike Pfister is Chief Information Officer at BKV Corporation. In this role, he provides strategic guidance and leadership to BKV’s IT and Data Transformation teams, supporting cross-functional collaboration that drives innovation and operational efficiency across the organization.

Mike brings more than 35 years of technology and executive leadership experience, much of it within the energy industry. Prior to joining BKV, he served as Chief Information Officer at ConocoPhillips and Halliburton, where he led large-scale IT organizations through periods of industry transformation and evolving technology. Earlier in his career, he held technical and leadership positions at Atlantic Richfield, in addition to serving as president of a $300 million healthcare business.

Throughout his career, Mike has developed digital strategies aligned to business priorities, built high-performing service-oriented teams and helped executive leadership and boards navigate complex technology investments. He has also contributed to the broader energy industry as Chairman of the API Information Technology Committee, participating for more than a decade.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and has completed CIO-focused executive education through Wharton, Stanford and other institutions. He has served on the Texas A&M Computer Science Advisory Board and was recognized as a Texas A&M Distinguished Alumnus. Mike has also served on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters and United Way. He spends his spare time enjoying his grandkids, playing golf, and serving his community.
