Kristen Busang

Kristen Busang is Senior Vice President of Human Resources at BKV Corporation, where she leads all people-related functions across the organization — including talent acquisition, total rewards, HR operations, employee relations, Administration, Real Estate, and Facilities. With over 30 years of progressive experience, Kristen brings a track record of building and transforming HR organizations within the Energy, Mining, and Infrastructure industries, and serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board on all people and culture priorities, including integration strategy for mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to BKV, Kristen served as Vice President of Human Resources at Crestone Peak Resources, Director of Human Resources at Jonah Energy, and Director of Compensation and Benefits at Intrepid Potash. Earlier in her career, she held senior consulting roles with Willis Towers Watson, Conduent, and Korn Ferry, advising global public and private equity-backed organizations on human capital strategy.

Kristen holds a Master of Legal Studies and a Master of Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She spent six years on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Denver Petroleum Club and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Kristen is a lifelong Steelers and Penguins fan. Outside of work, she is a passionate supporter of animal rescue and welfare programs, and when she's not in the office, you can find her on a hiking trail somewhere in the world.
