OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (November 5, 2008)—Following last year's merger with Atlanta direct response agency Bennett Kuhn Varner (BKV), management at Weyforth-Haas Marketing today announced that it will assume its sister agency's name and become BKV.
"The combined capabilities of our Kansas City and Atlanta branches offer a unique mix of services attuned to today's new marketing environment and focused on producing measurable results," said Kelley Haas, chairman, BKV. "Taking the BKV name reinforces that we're one company with a broad range of marketing experts and resources to serve our clients."
The company's nearly 150 employees work at two locations. In Overland Park (a suburb of Kansas City), the office focuses on business-to-business clients, while the Atlanta branch works mostly in the business-to-consumer and not-for-profit arenas. The full-service direct marketing company provides a broad range of services, from media, creative, database and interactive services to research and public relations. BKV specializes in marketing strategies that measurably generate leads, convert those leads into sales and finally, into established and loyal relationships, according to Haas.

BKV's board of directors will be composed of Haas; Brent Kuhn, vice chairman; Rick Skaggs, chief executive officer; Barb Murphy, president of the Overland Park office; and Maribett Varner, president of the Atlanta office.
