Creative Scholarship for Students Who Spin Best “Modern Fairytale”

if she’d had a smartphone to help her track down that errant glass slipper? BKV soon may be able to answer that question: we are offering a $1,500 scholarship to the college student who can tell the best “modern fairytale” on video in under three minutes! That’s right…$1,500!
“This year, we’re celebrating 30 years in business with this scholarship to encourage new creative talent who soon will be entering our rewarding profession,” said Kelley Haas, chairman, BKV. “We’re looking forward to giving these students a chance to show their creative flair while giving them a little help with the cost of their education.”
To enter the competition, students need to recreate a classic fairytale in a 2-3 minute video, adding a modern technology twist. The videos will be judged by the agency’s creative staff, who will select the top five entries that present the best creativity, both in overall concept and creative execution. These top five videos will be placed on BKV’s Facebook page for the public to enjoy and “like” their favorite. The creator of the video with the most “likes” will win the scholarship.
“At BKV, we employ a blend of traditional and digital media along with direct marketing techniques and high performance creative to grow our clients’ brands and sales. The ‘modern fairytale’ theme reflects our identity as a classic agency with modern capabilities, while also providing a fun challenge for the students who choose to apply,” Haas said.
Acceptable formats include .mpg, .mp4, .m2v, .flv and .avi. Students should send their entries to email@example.com by October 20. Voting for the top five will take place October 24-28, with the winner announced on October 31. Guidelines for the video submissions can be downloaded here.
