BKV’s Jamie Turner at Social Media Atlanta: How to Avoid the Great Social Media Crash of 2011
Have you heard of Social Media Atlanta? If you haven't and you're on Twitter, you soon will. #SMATL is going to be taking over the tweetstreams of all social media fanatics for the entire week of November 8th, 2010 with a number of great events, presentations and conferences around the city. One of those great presentations will be given by BKV's own Jamie Turner, author of "How to Make Money with Social Media." His presentation, given Wednesday from 4-6pm at Emory University, is titled "How to Avoid the Great Social Media Crash of 2011" and invites can be found here.
For those of you wondering what that title even means, Jamie has this excerpt:
Creating a YouTube channel or developing a Foursquare promotion is one thing, but actually tracking a social media campaign on an ROI basis is something else altogether. What’s more, if you don’t start tracking your campaigns now, it won’t be long before the CFO comes knocking on your door asking for proof that your social media campaigns are actually working. For many people, that knock on the door will be known as The Great Social Media Crash of 2011. And it’s up to you to do everything you can to avoid it.
If you thought the event was sold out, that's because it was (Jamie's just that popular). But we have good news! As of this post going live a brand new set of tickets went out and there are 50 seats still available. So what are you waiting for, sign up now!
